ABOUT
Creation of
Ozark Isle Nature Preserve, Inc.
When Covid-19 impacted our area in 2020, one of the main results was in influx of people to the Twin Lakes Area to enjoy the outdoors. More visitors routinely walked and biked at Ozark Isle for personal health and wellness.
Locals, Mary Beth and Rob Priorkowski were two such visitors to the Isle. Although they both had visited Ozark Isle Park for over 20 years, Covid-19 brought an abrupt awareness to the conditions at the park. In 2023, Park conditions deteriorated to the point where Mary Beth and Rob decided to take steps to become stewards of the property to enable ALL users a safe and more enjoyable place to recharge in the outdoors. In October 2023, they formed the non-profit and in February 2024 were granted permission from US Army Corps of Engineers to become land stewards of the Ozark Isle Park!
